How to Order

To Order a Meal Plan.
• Select “Flexi Meal Plans” from the main menu.

• Follow steps 1 and 2 to select your meals.
• Select at least $22 of meals for each date.
• Review your selection. You will not be able to revise the selection once you checkout.
• Click on "Continue to Shipping".

• Select delivery, or pickup.

• Checkouts will be successful only when:
   - Minimum food order is $22/day.
   - Total food order is above $99.
• An official invoice and order schedule will be emailed to you upon successful checkout.

Delivery or Pickup

Delivery
• Mondays to Saturdays, including public holidays.
• One delivery time slot from 10AM-12:30PM.
• One delivery is priced at a subsidised $5.90/trip.
• We deliver to locations within mainland Singapore with the exception of Tuas and all restricted areas.
• We do not deliver meal plans to Tuas, Sentosa and restricted areas.

Restricted areas: Airport Cargo Road, Airport Zone, Airline Road, ALPS Ave, Camps, Immigration Checkpoints, Construction Sites, Jurong Port ,PSA Port, SATS, Aerospaces, Shipyard, Supply Bases.
Default Refund with Penalty: Orders for delivery to Tuas, Sentosa and restricted areas will be refunded by default after deducting prevailing transaction and administrative fees.

Pickup
• Mondays to Saturdays, including public holidays.
• Pickup time strictly from 10AM-12:30PM to comply with SFA guidelines.

A delivery service top-up of $5.90 is payable for each change of mode of receiving a meal order (Flexi Meal Plans #). Prepayment for this service top-up at leanbento.com/cancelfee before emailing in with these mail request to mealplan@leanbento.com at least 2 days* before scheduled date of pickup with all of these information:
  1) Order #,
  2) Flexi Meal Plans #,
  3) Customer name,
  4) Contact number.

*Change requests from pickup to delivery must be received before the stipulated deadline, and be acknowledged by our team before it can be considered as “confirmed”.

Reschedule

To Reschedule, is to “Cancel” a Scheduled Delivery/Pickup.

STEP 1: Cancel a scheduled delivery/pickup via email.

STEP 2: Receive a full refund of the value of the scheduled delivery/pickup as Digital Credits.
STEP 3: Use the Digital Credits to purchase the next meal plan.

STEP 1: Cancel a scheduled delivery/pickup via email.
• A scheduled delivery/pickup is identified by the code “Flexi Meal Plans #”.
• A scheduled delivery/pickup cannot be “rescheduled”, “skipped”, or “refunded in cash”.
• A scheduled delivery/pickup can only be freed by a “cancellation”.
• The cancellation of a scheduled delivery/pickup can only be authorised by the customer by email.
• Deadline for all cancellation requests is at least 2 working days before the date of the scheduled delivery/pickup. e.g. email by 5pm on 01 June to cancel a scheduled delivery/pickup on 04 June.
• Email request to mealplan@leanbento.com by the stipulated deadline with all of these information:
  1) Order #,
  2) Flexi Meal Plans #,
  3) Customer name,
  4) Contact number.
  5) Screenshot of paid cancellation fee (see below)
      if the cancellation is not a first-time for the
      above Order #.
• No reason for cancellation is required.
• Late cancellation requests received less than 2 working days before the date of the scheduled delivery/pickup may not be acceded because delivery schedules are pre-booked in order to generate and continually pass on delivery offer to all our customers.
• First-time cancellation per unique Order # is complimentary.
• A cancellation fee of $5 will be imposed for subsequent cancellations related to the same Order #.
• Prepayment for cancellation fee must be completed at leanbento.com/cancelfee.

STEP 2: Receive a full refund of the value of the scheduled delivery/pickup as Digital Credits.
• Subjected to timely notice and confirmation, 100% of the order amount of a cancelled delivery/pickup will be credited in 5 calendar days as Digital Credits into the customer’s Digital Wallet for future use.

STEP 3: Use the Digital Credits to purchase the next meal plan as per the prevailing conditions:
• Meal plan has no fixed number of days to commit.

• Meal plan has a minimum food order of $22/day.

• Meal plan has a total minimum food order of $99.

• Meal plan can be paid using any combination of Digital Credits, Gift Cards and Credit Cards.

Add-on More Meals

To add-on more meals to an existing delivery/pickup.
• This applies to customers who wish to add on more food to a scheduled delivery/pickup (identified by “Flexi Meal Plans #”); which can be found in the official invoice of a purchased meal plan.

• Purchase the add-on items from our à la carte menu at leanbento.com.
• Make the most out of your subsidised meal plan delivery fee!
• Checkout by selecting “Store Pickup”. There is no min. order.
• Enter in the Delivery Remarks box, “Please tag this order to my Flexi Meal Plans # from Order #.

• Our team will manage the add-on order upon successful purchase.

No-Forfeit Policy.
• You are able to cancel (also referred as reschedule) in advance, a scheduled delivery/pickup order.
• You will avoid 100% forfeiture each time you cancel a scheduled delivery/pickup.
• You will receive the full amount of the cancellation in the form of Digital Dollars in your Digital Wallet within 5 days, for future use.

Halal Certification

Yes, we are halal-certified since the infancy of our operations. We renew it annually to make sure that we are always halal compliant.

Digital Wallet & Gift Cards

Digital Wallet.
• Subjected to timely notice and confirmation, 100% of the order amount of a cancelled delivery/pickup will be credited in 5 calendar days as Digital Credits into the customer’s Digital Wallet for future use.
• Digital Credits have a validity of 30 calendar days before they automatically cease to exist.
• Digital Wallet is a form of payment mode.
• Digital Wallet can be used together with credit cards and gift cards to pay for future orders.

Gift Cards.
• Gift card purchases are not considered as “meals” and will not be considered towards the minimum order amount for meal plan orders.
• Gift cards of any amount can be purchased independently.

Food Reheat & Handling

Food Reheat
• Tailored reheat recommendation for each product is listed in their respective product information.
• Bento bowls with clear OPS lids - reheat for 3 min at medium microwave power without lid.
• Bento cups with frosted PP lids - reheat 3 min at medium microwave power (lid-on optional).
• Desserts - transfer dessert into a microwave safe container. Reheat without packaging for 1.5 min at medium microwave power.
• Drinks - transfer drink into a microwave safe cup. Place a non-metallic spoon into the cup before reheating for 1.5 min at medium microwave power.
• All plastic components in our packaging unless advised; will not be recommended to undergo microwave heating.

Food Handling: Cooked Food
• All meals are advised to be consumed within 3 hrs from the time it was delivered/collected.
• Meals (or any food) intended to be consumed later must be refrigerated+, and only up to a maximum of 48 hrs at temperatures below 5degC.
• Tailored storage recommendation for each product is listed in their respective product information.

Food Handling: Raw Food
• All meals containing any raw component, are advised to be consumed within 3 hrs from the time it was delivered/collected.
• We do not recommend that products containing raw food to be kept beyond its recommended "safe for consumption" validity of 3 hrs from the time it was delivered/collected.

T&C: Cancellation, Penalties, Top-ups & Refunds

The prevailing cancellation, refund, and penalty policies were derived with the understanding that the act of purchase of all orders (meal plans that includes the schedules of deliveries/pickups and the selection of meals) is a willing decision made by the free will of our customers.
The responsibility to consume the entire value of the order therefore lies solely on the customer. Our company is obliged to reasonably fulfil the order according to its attached value at the time of purchase; and as long as our company and the associated products or services are still in existence at the time of claim.

Cancellation of a Main Order.
• There will be no refunds in the form of cash for all cancelled Order # (whole order).
• There will be no refunds in the form of cash for all cancelled Flexi Meal Plans # (one of the sub-orders in the whole order).
• 100% of the order amount of any cancelled delivery/pickup will be credited in 5 calendar days as Digital Credits into the customer’s Digital Wallet for future use.
• It will be at the full discretion of the customer to decide how to make use of any remaining Digital Credits in their Digital Wallets for future purchases on our website.

• There will be a fee of $5, payable for each subsequent change of delivery address to a scheduled delivery/pickup tied to the same (main) Order #. The first change is complimentary. Payment for this fee must be completed at leanbento.com/cancelfee
• There will be a delivery service fee top-up of $8.90, payable for each change of receiving mode of a meal order (Flexi Meal Plans #) i.e. from a (store) pickup to a delivery service. Payment for this fee must be completed at leanbento.com/cancelfee
• There will be a transaction fee of 6.5% transaction fee, and an administrative fee of $20 imposed on case-to-case scenario, such as a full refund before the commencement of a Meal Plan (see Refund section below).
• Requests made less than 2 working days from the date of fulfilment, will be confirmed and assessed on a case-to-case basis. They may be subjected to an administrative fee of up to $20/request.

Refund.
• Subjected to timely notice and confirmation, 100% of the order amount of all cancelled delivery/pickup will be credited in 5 calendar days as Digital Credits into the customer’s Digital Wallet for future use. .
• Subjected to timely notice and confirmation, 100% of the paid delivery fee for change of mode of receiving a meal order (Flexi Meal Plans #) i.e. from delivery to pickup, will be credited in 5 calendar days as Digital Credits into the customer’s Digital Wallet for future use. .
• It will be at the full discretion of the customer to decide how to make use of any remaining Digital Credits in their Digital Wallets for future purchases on our website.
• There will be no refunds in the form of cash for all cancelled Order # (the whole order), once the Meal Plan has commenced.
• There will be no refunds in the form of cash for any cancelled Flexi Meal Plans # (sub-orders of the whole order), once the Meal Plan has commenced.
• On a case-to-case scenario, such as a full refund before the commencement of a Meal Plan, will have the final refund amount to the original mode of payment subjected to the deduction of 6.5% transaction fee, and an administrative fee of $20. e.g. For an Order# of $90 (incl GST), the final refund amount would be $64.15 (incl GST).
• Requests made less than 2 working days from the date of fulfilment, will be confirmed and assessed on a case-to-case basis. They may be subjected to an administrative fee of up to $20/request.
• Customers are advised to understand the refund process before purchasing any meal plan.

T&C: Food Safety

Useful SFA Guidelines.
• All products are freshly prepared for consumption as soon as possible.
• Food pathogens multiply rapidly between 5degC and 60degC.
• No food should be kept at room temperature for more than 4 hours from the time it was cooked in our kitchen, to the time it is consumed.
• All our products must be handled as perishables.

Food Management.
• Our kitchen is halal-certified.

Food Warranties.
• We are committed to put in our best efforts to consistently produce food products which are of good safety, quality, texture, flavour, colour, presentation every day.
• We are regrettably unable to exercise exhaustive control of how food products which were prepared in our kitchen, is managed once they leave our premises because they would be entrusted into the care of the customer, or a third-party delivery personnel.
• We are regrettably unable to provide surveillance to every food product that leaves our premises until it is consumed.
• As such, we are unable to make warranties regarding the safety, quality, texture, flavour, colour and presentation of all products after they leave our premises, either by self-collection (store pickup) or by all methods of delivery (islandwide, area and meal plan etc).

T&C: Delivery

Delivery Time Slot.
• All deliveries (fulfilment) will be fulfilled on the selected day and delivery time slot (delivery window) as outlined at the point of purchase.
• We offer a delivery time slot of 10AM-12:30PM on the days which we are able to commit to serve at the time of purchase.
• We are hence, not obliged to arrange for our delivery personnel(s) to turn up with an order at a specific and precise time.

Shared-Responsibility.
• Customers are advised to observe shared-responsibility, to be contactable, and available to receive the order during the selected day and delivery time slot.
• Customers are advised to make alternative arrangements to receive their order during the selected day and delivery time slot.
• In the event of a “no-show”, “not at home”, or “not contactable” scenario, our delivery personnel(s) reserve the right to exercise discretion and common sense to respectfully leave the order at the doorstep, gate entrance, reception counter, or security counter etc.

Scope of Service.
• We regret that we are unable to arrange for our delivery personnel(s) to remain at the door/entrance of the delivery address for more than the accepted default of 5 minutes, in order not to hold up the fulfilment schedule and compromise on the food safety of subsequent deliveries.
• We regret that we are unable to arrange for our delivery personnel(s) to run errands for our customers, other than to deliver the order to the specified address, at the selected day and delivery time slot.
• Our company bears no responsibility further than to prepare every order to our best with food quality, food safety, and with our delivery partner to fulfil the order to the designated address on the selected day and delivery time slot.

T&C: Nutrition & Allergens

Nutrition.
Nutrition information can vary for a recipe based on factors such as precision of measurements, ingredient freshness, or the source of nutrition data. An approximation method was used to calculate the nutrition for every recipe. We strive to keep the information as accurate as possible, but make no warranties regarding its accuracy. We encourage customers to exercise their own discretion.

Allergens.
All related statements in this website have not been validated by any organisation. We do not possess purview over the production, harvest, delivery or potential airborne cross-contamination of the raw ingredients which we use in our kitchen. We strive to keep information about food sensitivities as accurate as possible, but make no warranties regarding its accuracy. We encourage customers to exercise their own discretion.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

SECTION 14 - FOOD WARRANTIES

We are committed to put in our best efforts to consistently produce food products which are of good safety, quality, texture, flavour, colour, presentation every day. We are regrettably unable to exercise exhaustive control of how food products which were prepared in our kitchen, is managed once they leave our premises because they would be entrusted into the care of the customer, or a third-party delivery personnel. We are unable to provide surveillance to every food product that leave our premises until it is consumed. As such, we are unable to make warranties regarding the safety, quality, texture, flavour, colour and presentation of all products after they leave our premises, either by self-collection (store pickup) or by all methods of delivery (islandwide, area and meal plan etc).

SECTION 15 - INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Lean Bento Pte. Ltd. and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
